Thumbnails for New Storyboards

Seen below are the thumbnails for the new boards I want to do for my senior film. They're rough and almost the same as my old boards. I did, however, try to adjust compositions, focus on lighting and movement, and began to toy with the idea of having my female character grow antlers to create a link between she and the deer. (Also thinking about including the antler motif throughout the piece by making the branches in the forest look like antlers, thus tying the three characters together.)

Character Design & New Compositions for the Pitch Poster

Here are some doodle I did to get a better idea of what my character will look like. My boyfriend likes the long head, he thinks it's "elegant." Honestly, I'm not so sure how I feel. Also shown are some rough compositions for my new pitch poster. Being that my forest is "the mind" a composition that makes the forest and its clearings almost "brain shaped" or otherwise capable of containing something and leading my character "in", seems a better solution; thank you Professor Moorshead.

Pitch Posters & Art Direction

I have some pitch posters and art direction here. I still have a long way to go, compositions have a great deal to do with this, but I'm on my way.

Animatics

Before even going into character design my assignment was to create a storyboard/animatic. I have struggled with the software as well as with confidence involving my ability to compose a shot without a camera. I'm finding more and more that there's a gap somewhere in my brain that is separating my drawing skills from my cinematographic skills.

Anyway, here are the first three I have done. I think they're of questionable quality, so I'm trying to get a 4th done but I only have this weekend before everything is due.

The first is not timed because I needed to turn it in, the second is timed but made in Premier Pro, and the third was made with the software we were required to use: ToonBoom Storyboard Pro, however it needs transitions. Worse comes to worse, I add transitions before handing it in on Wednesday of next week. In the best case, I will get another done and post it here as well.
